What are dental veneers?

Dental veneers are custom-made, tooth-colored porcelain onlays that cover the front surface of a tooth to improve the tooth’s appearance. The veneers are permanently bonded to the front of the tooth to improve the tooth’s color, shape, size, or length.

Dental veneers typically last from 5 to 10 year with proper care and good oral hygiene.

What dental problems do veneers fix?

Dental veneers are routinely used to fix teeth that are discolored or stained, worn down, chipped or broken, or misaligned, uneven, or irregularly shaped. Dental veneers may also be used to fill the gap between two otherwise healthy teeth.
